• What are garden bags?

  A garden bag is a large wool bale fitted onto a metal frame. They are used to contain unwanted waste from premises ahead of collection.

  A garden bag collection service, such as that offered by 4 Waste Removals, delivers the garden bag/s to your premises on a set schedule. You then fill the bag/s with your green waste ahead of the scheduled collection date. The bag/s is then collected and swapped for an empty bag, where the process repeats for the next scheduled collection.

  Our collection service is similar to that of the council’s green wheelie bin service, only our garden bags are approximately two and a half times the size of the council’s green bins and provide more flexible collection options.

• What are garden bins?

  A garden bin is much like a garden bag; the only difference is the material. Where a garden bag is a wool bale and requires a metal frame to hold it upright, a garden bin is made from plastic and is self-supporting.

  Garden bins are the same as the council’s green wheelie bins; only our bins hold one cubic metre of garden waste, four times that of the council’s green wheelie bins, which hold just 240L of waste. Our garden bins, as with our garden bags, also offer much more flexible collection options.

• How often will my garden bag/bin be collected?

  When you order garden bags or garden bins from 4 Waste Removals, you get to choose the collection schedule that best suits your needs – weekly or every 2, 4, or 8 weeks. You can change your collection frequency to suit your needs or the season by phoning our office, logging into your customer account onto our website, or by downloading our Garden Bag App. For example, many customers use a 2 or 4-week collection schedule during summer and then change to an 8-week cycle, or longer, over winter.

• How much does the garden bag service cost?

  The cost of the collection starts at $28.00 (monthly collection) per bag or bin, regardless of fill level, based on an ongoing service for Brisbane, Ipswich & the Gold Coast.

  If we come to for collection and the bag or bin is empty, the bag/bin will be left on site (and an invoice left if applicable), allowing you time to fill the bag/bin before the next collection date. You can avoid the fee on an empty bag/bin by simply phoning us on 07 3343 3030 or emailing info@4waste.com.au the week before your collection date.

  If you prefer not to sign up for our regular service and just want garden bags or garden bins for an occasional cleanup, our one-off service starts at $99 (one bag/bin), $200 (three bags/bins), $250 (four bags/bins).

• What can I place in the garden bins and garden bags?

  There are strict regulations regarding what is permitted in our bags and bins. We accept only 100% green waste. This includes fruit and vegetable scraps, branches, stumps, palm fronds, tree limbs, twigs and small branches, lawn clippings, and other garden waste. No logs are to be larger than 150mm in diameter.
